ALEX STOLLS is a Senior Associate at Boyarski Fritz LLP with a practice that focuses on transactional work and counseling with respect to business and intellectual property-related matters for the firm’s clients in the music, digital rights, branding, live performance, podcast and audiovisual rights space.  With a focus on contract drafting and negotiation, Alex’s expertise includes the representation of recording artists, songwriters, music producers, content production and distribution companies, industry executives, digital media and technology companies, social media-influencers, film and television companies, entrepreneurs, record labels, music publishers, management companies, branding companies and other entertainment-industry-related talent businesses and service providers. 

 

Alex was previously an Associate at Boyarski Fritz for three years from 2018 through 2021, before returning in 2022 in his current role.  Prior to rejoining Boyarski Fritz LLP, Alex was most recently a Digital Media & Technology Associate at Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard LLP where he was responsible for negotiating, structuring and drafting various entertainment, digital media and technology related agreements, and counseling clients on risks and other business considerations relating to complex transactions and burgeoning areas of entertainment, media and technology.  Alex also served as the firm’s expert in music-related matters. 

 

Before originally joining Boyarski Fritz LLP in 2018, Alex served as a law clerk/extern at a variety of firms in the entertainment space including The Davis Firm PLLC and Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard LLP, where Alex handled a variety of matters for clients in various entertainment fields.

Alex graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. He graduated with a concentration in Intellectual Property, Entertainment & Media Law.

Prior to law school, Alex was an Associate at Sportstars, Inc., where he served as a point-person for many of the firm’s professional athlete clients, including the securing, drafting and negotiation of endorsement deals.  Alex  also served as an Intern at William Morris Endeavor in the Unscripted Television Department while in undergrad. 

 

Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from The Pennsylvania State University.

Alex is a member of the New York State Bar and lives in Hoboken with his wife and dog Barkley.
